​​Police charge three with two robberies over the weekend

Detectives have this morning charged three people following two robberies of commercial premises over the weekend.

On Saturday 8 September at 10.20pm four people armed with a hammer entered the BP Garage on Botley Road, North Baddesley threatened a staff member and stole cash and cigarettes.

On Sunday 9 September just after 1am three people armed with a hammer entered The Bellemoor Tavern on Hill Lane, Southampton and threatened staff, however left empty handed.

Detectives arrested three people shortly after 2am after the robbery on Hill Lane and this morning (September 10) have charged three teenagers with robbery and attempted robbery.

Jordan Peat, 18, Kingsclere Avenue, Southampton has been charged with robbery and attempt robbery.

A 16-year-old boy from Southampton has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery.

A 15-year-old boy from Southampton has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery.

They will appear before Southampton Magistrates Court today.
