Officers in Southampton are investigating a series of arsons where soft-top Mini Coopers have been set alight.
Nine Mini’s have been set alight in the city since November 21.
Cars have been targeted in Randolph Street, Hanley Road, Janson Road, Hinkler Road, Deacon Road, Downside Avenue, South East Road, River Walk and Belmont Road. The last incident happening on Belmont Road on January 5.
Each vehicle that has been targeted has had a canvas soft top which has been cut. Flammable material has then been placed inside the car and then set alight. Some of the cars have been completely burnt out whilst others have suffered minor damage.
Incidents have happened in the early hours of the morning, generally after midnight and before 8am.
A man driving a silver or grey coloured Peugeot 307 estate car has been seen near one of the scenes. Officers would like to hear from anyone who think they may know who this man might be. This maybe a friend, relative or housemate who is often out throughout the night and are known to drive a silver or grey coloured Peugeot 307 estate car.

- Install CCTV to overlook your vehicle.
- Consider fitting an alarm to your vehicle with clear warning stickers alerting persons that an alarm is fitted.
